Pediatric Psychology

Why

The treatment is highly effective.

Pediatric health psychologists are specially trained to help children and adolescents manage the symptoms, stress, and daily challenges associated with a broad range of medical conditions and health concerns. Our providers use research-backed approaches, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), that help youth develop practical skills to manage symptoms, improve functioning, and enhance quality of life while living with medical conditions.

The treatment is difficult to access.

Child psychologists are different from pediatric health psychologists. Pediatric health psychologists receive specialized hospital-based training in working with children with medical conditions and in delivering health-focused behavioral interventions. Because this training is not common among community mental health providers, many families struggle to find clinicians with expertise in evidence-based, health-focused treatments.

It's what we're here to do.

Streamind was built specifically to improve access to high quality behavioral health intervention for children with medical conditions and health concerns. All Streamind pediatric psychologists have intensive training and expertise in delivering health-focused treatments. This is not general therapy--it's targeted, condition-specific care.
